Elden Ring Weight Calculator

Elden Ring Equip Load Calculator

Calculate your equip load percentage, roll type, maximum weight, required Endurance and talisman bonuses. Use it for quick weight checks or to find the exact Endurance you need to keep a Light or Medium Roll.

Current build

Weight → Roll Type → Required Endurance

Enter your equipment weight, then either type your known maximum equip load or calculate it from Endurance and talisman bonuses.

Choose one Arsenal talisman and one Erdtree's Favor talisman. If you entered max load directly, these choices only affect the Endurance estimate.

Elden Ring Equip Load Chart

Equip load is your current equipment weight divided by maximum equip load. Enter your own max load to turn these breakpoints into exact weight limits for your build.

How to Use the Equip Load Calculator

Enter your max load for a fast check from the in-game status screen, or enter Endurance when you want the calculator to apply Endurance and talisman bonuses for you.

1. Enter equipment weight

Add your equipped weapons, armor and talismans, or copy the current weight from the in-game status screen.

2. Enter max load or Endurance

Type your maximum equip load directly, or enter Endurance and choose your equip load talismans.

3. Choose your roll goal

Pick Light or Medium Roll to see the required max load, extra load needed and minimum Endurance.

Example Equip Load Calculations

Use these examples to check the two most common questions: what roll you have now, and how much maximum equip load you need for the roll you want.

Quick status check

54.8 ÷ 82.1 = 66.7%

This is Medium Load because it is under 70% but not under 30%.

Medium Roll goal

72.4 ÷ 0.7 = 103.43

You need more than 103.43 maximum equip load to keep this gear weight Medium.

Talisman option

Endurance 38 + Great-Jar

Great-Jar's Arsenal can make 72.4 weight fit Medium without raising Endurance into the high 40s.

Breakpoint check

If a build lands exactly on a threshold, it belongs to the heavier tier. 30.0% is Medium Load, not Light; 70.0% is Heavy Load, not Medium. When you are tuning armor pieces, leave at least a little margin below the breakpoint.

Light, Medium and Heavy Equip Load Explained

Roll category is a percentage, not a fixed weight. The same 55.0 equipment weight can be Heavy on one character and Medium on another if their maximum equip load differs.

Light Load

Under 30%. Rolls travel farther while keeping the same basic dodge timing as Medium, useful for low-weight builds and challenge runs.

Medium Load

30% to under 70%. The common target for most builds because it avoids heavy-roll recovery without forcing very light armor.

Heavy Load

70% to 100%. The roll has much longer recovery, leaves you easier to punish, and is the category players often call fat roll.

Overloaded

Over 100%. You cannot roll or backstep, so the build needs more maximum load, less gear weight, or both.

Elden Ring Endurance Calculator

The most useful reverse calculation is simple: enter the gear weight you want to wear, choose Light or Medium Roll, and the calculator finds the lowest Endurance that can support it.

Required Endurance is based on the in-game Endurance max equip load table from 1 to 99. Talismans are applied after the base Endurance value, so Great-Jar's Arsenal and Erdtree's Favor can reduce how many attribute points you need.

If the calculator says a roll is out of reach, the equipment weight is too high for that roll even at 99 Endurance with your chosen talismans. Lower weight, choose Medium instead of Light, or add a stronger load bonus.

Endurance has equip load soft caps. The gains are strong in the early game, slow around the mid-20s, improve again on the path to 60, then become smaller from 61 to 99. That is why a talisman can sometimes save more levels than one or two extra Endurance points.

Reverse formulas

  • Medium Roll required max load: equipment weight ÷ 0.7, then exceed that value.
  • Light Roll required max load: equipment weight ÷ 0.3, then exceed that value.
  • Minimum Endurance: the first Endurance value whose talisman-adjusted max load keeps you under the chosen percentage.

Equip Load Calculator with Talismans

This calculator includes the two direct equip load talisman groups: Arsenal and Erdtree's Favor. You can choose one from each group.

Arsenal Charm

+15% maximum equip load

Arsenal Charm +1

+17% maximum equip load

Great-Jar's Arsenal

+19% maximum equip load

Erdtree's Favor

+5% maximum equip load

Erdtree's Favor +1

+6.5% maximum equip load

Erdtree's Favor +2

+8% maximum equip load

Bonuses are applied to maximum equip load, not to the weight of your armor. Temporary buffs such as Winged Crystal Tear are left out of the main calculator because most players plan their permanent roll weight first.

How Is Equip Load Calculated?

The calculation starts with the percentage of your maximum equip load currently occupied by equipped gear.

Equip load percentage

Current equipment weight ÷ maximum equip load × 100

Example: 54.8 weight divided by 82.1 max equip load is 66.7%, which is Medium Load.

Max equip load with talismans

Endurance max load × Arsenal bonus × Erdtree's Favor bonus

The calculator uses the in-game equip load thresholds and the Endurance maximum equip load table, then rounds the final maximum equip load to one decimal place for display. This matches how players usually read weight values in-game, but the breakpoint rules still decide the roll tier.

How Much Equip Load Do I Need for Medium Roll?

For Medium Roll, divide your equipment weight by 0.7. Your maximum equip load must be greater than the result.

A 70.0 equipment weight build needs more than 100.0 maximum equip load for Medium Roll. Exactly 100.0 max load would put that build at 70%, which is Heavy Load.

How Much Equip Load Do I Need for Light Roll?

For Light Roll, divide your equipment weight by 0.3. Light builds usually need low equipment weight, high Endurance, talismans, or all three.

A 30.0 equipment weight build needs more than 100.0 maximum equip load to stay Light, because Light Load must remain under 30%.

Equip Load vs Armor Weight

Equip load answers whether your current gear fits the roll you want. Armor optimization is a different problem: choosing the best armor for a fixed weight budget.

Use this page when you already know the weapon and armor weight you want to carry. If you are comparing armor by poise, negation and resistances under a weight limit, that belongs on a separate armor optimizer rather than this calculator.

Use equip load for roll planning, then move to build, weapon, level and damage tools when you need broader character math.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is medium load in Elden Ring?

Medium Load is an equip load percentage of 30% or more and under 70% of your maximum equip load. At 70% you move into Heavy Load, often called fat rolling.

How much equip load do I need for medium roll?

Divide your equipment weight by 0.7. Your maximum equip load must be greater than that result, because Medium Load requires being under 70%, not equal to it.

How much equip load do I need for light roll?

Divide your equipment weight by 0.3. Your maximum equip load must be greater than that result to stay under the Light Load threshold.

Does Great-Jar's Arsenal stack with Erdtree's Favor?

Yes. They belong to different talisman groups, so you can equip one Arsenal talisman and one Erdtree's Favor talisman. The calculator applies both bonuses to maximum equip load.

Can I equip Arsenal Charm and Great-Jar's Arsenal together?

No. Arsenal Charm, Arsenal Charm +1 and Great-Jar's Arsenal are the same equip load talisman family, so the calculator lets you choose only one of them at a time.

Is this also an Elden Ring weight calculator?

Yes. Enter equipment weight and maximum equip load to calculate weight percentage, roll category, remaining capacity and personal roll thresholds.

Why does my result differ by 0.1 from the game menu?

Elden Ring displays weight and maximum equip load at one decimal place. Tiny rounding differences can appear near a breakpoint, so the important rule is the breakpoint itself: 30.0% is Medium Load and 70.0% is Heavy Load.
